Yes, I find it strange that girls will complain about being too cold and then go around in the middle of winter with flip flops. Not sure why. It's very common where I live. Another thing that I don't get is why they wear flare leg jeans or yoga pants that are too long and drag on the ground and get their feet all wet and dirty and the hems of their pants dragging through water and dirt. Gross. It gets all over their bare feet. Maybe it's because they want to show off their feet. But most of them don't even have polish on their toes or even a decent pedicure. That's one thing that irritates about all people who wear sandals. Please, if you are going to make us look at your feet, at least have your toes polished with a nice pedicure. Nothing nastier than dirty ugly feet, especially on females.

It's definitely NOT a trend. Shlubby sweatpants and flip flops have never been in fashion and look horrible. While it was stupid to walk around in the snow with flip flops, obviously she's not planning on doing much if she's dressed like that. It was probably just for comfort.
Because most teens would rather look pretty than wear a coat. Honestly, that is dangerous and could get frostbite.
She's probably just wearing them because they were the easiest thing to slip on. It looks like she's wearing more relaxed clothing, so I doubt she had any major plans today and might just be stopping at Starbucks for a drink.
