I think first of all you should check what the wishes of the family are. I know for example that when my auntie passes she would NOT want ANY of us to wear any black or dark colors. She would want us to celebrate her passing not mourn for her.( She thinks that that is VERY selfish of the people on earth because THEY are the ones that are sad not her.. )
