A lot of people would consider me preppy, and I used to not know what this meant, either, but I looked into it and I would say that it is a very classy and timeless style. Some people think the term "prep" is just a clothing style but others think that it is a lifestyle and the way you act can determine whether or not you are "preppy" . The term "preppy" was originally used for prep school students, but now it is just a style/lifestyle and not all preps go to a prep school. Some preppy clothing items/fabrics/brands/etc. are: seersucker, button down oxfords, lilly pulitzer, vineyard vines, ralph lauren, j crew, j crew factory, banana republic, brooks brothers, ll bean, puffer vest, bows, pearls, monogram, etc.)
