I'd say wear a flannel/jean jacket/cardigan with a nice top that could be a blouse or just a graphic or band T-shirt with some skinny jeans/skirt. As for shoes, you could wear flats, Converse or Vans. Make sure to follow dress code or they may give you loaners or call home. For make up you could use some concealer, light mascara and lipgloss or Chapstick. Don't cake yourself with make up, just do something natural but you have to wear something that you feel comfortable in, and don't really worry about your make up because don't forget you also have p.e in which you should bring comfortable shoes later on.

I'd wear something not too sloppy and not too dressy. Like a cute shirt with jeans, or a skirt, and nice flats.

wear something that's comfortable and you think is cute :) whatever you like to wear! don't try to impress people with an outfit that's not you! school is an experience that you should enjoy not about impressing others so, wear what you think is cute to you and true friends will come there way :)
