Hello there. I just took my Psychology class. And according to this class, it is during 30's or 40's or the middle age of our lives that our sexual drives are then again revived and peak. (our sexual drives are awakened during teenage years). This is the reason why many extramarital affairs happen in this age. So I guess wearing see through clothes is a manifestation of these people's sexual drive.

I believe what your friend said may be a possibility, because I knew an older woman of 70 years who wore see through clothing that pressed her breasts onto a landscape worker's body in her front yard. Even though this poor lady had Alzheimer's, but older women in general still get sexually aroused even after menopause. Another possibility may be that the old lady you mentioned may not have cared if anyone saw her like that or it could also be like my grandma's case, in which she still thinks her body looks great dispite her muffin top, so she shows off in the same way. These are all the reasons I know for a fact.
